    BLUE LOTUS FARM AND RETREAT CENTER HIRES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
    Cedarburg, WI (February 10, 2020) – Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center (BLFRC) is pleased to announce Jacqueline Janz has been appointed executive director. Janz brings with her twenty years’ experience in public relations, marketing, strategic planning, and community relations. BLFRC is a nonprofit that provides an accessible, natural setting for nonprofit groups, individuals, and businesses. Their main goal is serve those with profound challenges, enabling them to benefit from the outdoors and its many inspiring activities such as fishing, swimming, and canoeing.

    "At my first interview with Jacqueline it was apparent to me that she has an engaging light personality with the confidence to take Blue Lotus to the next level and sustainability,” said Fred Bliffert, BLFRC Co-founder and Board President. “We wholeheartedly believe Jacqueline is a perfect fit to lead Blue Lotus and continue to provide much needed services to those with life challenges."

    Janz will be responsible for overall operations of the center along with promotion and fund development.
    “Blue Lotus is like no other organization,” stated Janz. “The natural surroundings provide a beautiful and empowering setting for individuals, especially those with challenges. Here, people feel safe and accepted allowing them to just enjoy the outdoors. It is a privilege to work at Blue Lotus and assist Fred and Susan.”
    Janz worked at the Milwaukee County Transit System for 16 years, including the position of chief marketing and communications officer. Most recently she was the communications director for MKR, a marketing and communications firm.

    Since 2002, Blue Lotus Farm & Retreat Center, a 501c3 nonprofit, has provided accessible recreational and therapeutic opportunities for individuals of all ages living with profound physical, developmental, cognitive, emotional, or mental health challenges. The center is also available to individuals and businesses looking for a natural setting for well-being or work retreats. At Blue Lotus, there are many opportunities to rejuvenate the mind and spirit by immersing in the beautiful setting and outdoor activities on the 64-acre property. There are hiking trails, in-ground pool, four-acre pond, kayaks & canoes, pavilion space, campfire for roasting marshmallows, and so much more. Individuals leave feeling empowered, encouraged, and joyful.
