    Kick off your adventure-filled weekend at the West Bend $1000 Cache Ba$h™ by joining us for a Geocaching 101 class hosted by the Wisconsin Geocaching Association! Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned enthusiast, this class is the perfect opportunity to learn the ropes before diving into the excitement of the Cache Bash.


    What is Geocaching?
    Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.

    In this quick, introductory class you will learn and experience Geocaching from a member of the Wisconsin Geocaching Association board of directors.

    What Will You Learn?
    • Basics of geocaching including how to use a GPS device or smartphone app
    • Tips and tricks for finding caches in various environments
    • Safety guidelines and ethical practices
    • How to log your finds and interact with the geocaching community
    Who Can Attend?
    This class is open to geocaching enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. Whether you're completely new to the game or looking to enhance your skills, everyone is welcome! Plus, it's the perfect primer for those planning to participate in the West Bend $1000 Cache Bash.

    What to Bring:
    • Comfortable outdoor clothing and footwear
    • GPS device or smartphone with a geocaching app installed (if available)
    • Water bottle
    • Pen and paper for taking notes
