    Position Overview
     
    The best Portfolio Manager has knowledge of loan policy and regulatory requirements, lending procedures and related documentation. They are a critical thinker, flexible and work best in a fast-paced environment. They are known to be very efficient and accurate and complete tasks in a timely manner. 
     
    Organization
    A strong predictor of success is proven strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate with internal and external clients.  This is a fast-paced position and must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy. 
     
    Responsibilities
    As an experienced Portfolio Manager you would:
    Be responsible for assisting the Bank’s Commercial Lender(s) by performing duties associated with Commercial Lending and Portfolio Management.  This will include but not limited to completing activities of analyzing new opportunities, close loans in accordance with the established lending practices, approvals, procedures, and policies of the Bank.  Assist in servicing the existing loan portfolio and clients.  Ensure guidelines and policies are met.  Monitor covenants that have been established for each client’s portfolio.  Correspond with clients to maintain a quality loan portfolio through proper underwriting and diligent collection efforts to minimize delinquency and charge-offs.

    • Written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
     
    Requires a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field of study, three or more years of related experience as a credit analyst or in commercial lending, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
