One of the ways we bring this mission to life is by connecting students the future workforce with the businesses that shape our region.\n\nFollowing the success of las year's launch\, the All Around the Bend Business Bus Tours return for a second year\, connecting high school students with real-world career opportunities right here in West Bend. This program provides students with firsthand exposure to local industries\, helping them explore potential career paths and engage with professionals shaping our community.\n\nWhat Are the Business Bus Tours?\n\nOn April 9th and 10th\, 2026\, high school students from the West Bend School District will embark on exclusive guided tours of top local businesses. These tours provide a behind-the-scenes look at careers in four key industries:\n\nApril 9th:\n\n\n Group 1: Manufacturing\n Group 2: First Responders\n\n\nApril 10th:\n\n\n Group 1: Healthcare\n Group 2: Engineering\n\nEach day will also feature a business luncheon and panel discussion with local industry leaders\, where students can ask questions\, receive career advice\, develop soft-skills\, and build connections with local employers. \n\n\n\nWhy It Matters\n\nThe Business Bus Tours are more than just a field trip they are an investment in West Bend's future. By exposing students to real-world work environments\, this initiative helps them:\n\n\n Gain firsthand insight into potential career paths.\n Connect with professionals who can offer guidance and mentorship.\n Experience workplace culture and learn what it takes to succeed in their chosen field. \n Engage in a business luncheon and panel discussion with industry leaders. \n Receive a professional headshot for use on resumes and social media. \n\n\nPart of a Larger Vision\n\nThe Business Bus Tours complement the All Around the Bend Business Showcase on Saturday\, April 11\, 2026\, at the West Bend High School Fieldhouse and Cafeteria. This free\, public event (9 AM 2 PM) features over 100 local businesses\, showcasing their products\, services\, and career opportunities.
