Walgreens
2009 Winner — Business of the Year Award, Medium Employer

Walgreens has been in existence since 1901 and has been serving the West Bend area for more than 20 years. The past few years, they have seen a growth rate in our area of almost 20% and each day they serve about 1,500 customers. With 45 employees the current store is 11,000 sq feet and over the years their growth has included a variety of services beyond their drug retail trade. The West Bend store has won awards for best customer service in the Milwaukee North District, best Pharmacy Sales increase, and the Gold Star Customer Service awards based on feedback from customers.

WBKV AM / WBWI FM Radio
2009 Winner — Business of the Year Award, Small Employer

WBKV-AM / WBWI-FM Radio proudly serves the West Bend and Washington County area with local news, local sports, local business news, and Public Service Announcements each and every day.

Better known as Classic Country AM 1470 … WBKV-AM … signed on the air in November, 1950 and will celebrate its 60th year of broadcasting in 2010. Its sister station, 92.5 WBWI-FM signed on the air in 1958 and celebrated its 50th year of broadcasting in 2008.
